"NEIL HAMBURGER'S ENTERTAINMENT EXTRAVAGANZA"
This show is an eclectic mix of different performance styles - headlined by the enigmatic Hamburger
(who has released four comedy albums on local record label Drag City).
Amongst this year's performers is Chipps Cooney.
"Cooney is a magician that amazes nobody," says Carlson,
"but he's hilarious." Cooney explains that the humor comes from his deadpanned delivery.
"I swallow a sword," he explains. "It's a very small sword."
When pressed, Cooney admits,
"Actually, it's one of those metal pointers that they use in a classroom."
